Hey all! 

Been a little bit of time. We've been busy behind the scenes working on getting everything all set for delivery.

As a part of that process, you should have received an email today regarding locking in your addresses on BackerKit. In two days, your address will be locked so make sure to update if there have been any changes made. 

Again: You have two days to lock in your address (orders are locked on June 11)!

UPDATE #10: The One About Printer Mockups

Happy to report that all the things are on schedule! I just got mockups from the printer for the character sheet and, perhaps more importantly, Wanderers! Take a look:

What's Next

There are a few minor edits I have for the printer before we go to final printing. Once those edits are completed and sent back to the printer, it should only be a week or two before I'm able to pick up the final products!

A big thanks to all of you for filling out the surveys on BackerKit! Most of you should have been locked in with your orders, but if you'd like to add one final character sheet pad or another copy of any of the books, please make sure to let me know on BackerKit before May 3rd (one week from today). Once that deadline comes and goes, everyone will be locked in - meaning, you'll be unable to change your order!

Then we'll begin the process of locking in addresses. Once folks are locked in, it's just a waiting game to get the final products from the printer and mailing them out to you. That process should be fully wrapped up towards the end of May, with your orders coming to you by June-July (depending on where you're at in the world). Remember, this is for Physical and Complete Versions only - the Collector's Version will be sending later this year.

Digital File Fulfillment

You should have received an invite to the BackerKit last month to fill out our fulfillment survey. As of last viewing, we've got 190 folks who have responded and are ready to have addresses locked in. That's fantastic! There's about 20 or so folks who have yet to respond, so please check your emails if you're one of those people - a new invite should be there this morning.

If you haven't checked it out yet, your BackerKit account should have your digital files ready to download as well! The files that are ready for download are as follows, depending on your backer tier:

• Dungeoneering: Wanderers (PDF) - ALL TIERS
• Dungeoneering (PDF) - COMPLETE TIER and ADD-ON

Grinning Rat Publications Update

A few things to cover quickly before we round out this update:

• The GR Newsletter unfortunately has been on a bit of a hiatus due to some personal stuff that's taken up the majority of my time. We'll be back in May with Issue #2 and should be releasing monthly after that! Thanks for your patience.
• Similarly, updates to the blog have taken a hit, but I've got a few articles I'm writing that will likely be up around the time of the GR Newsletter as well.

UPDATE #9: Digital Rewards Fulfillment Date Change

Hey all,

Hope you’re well and enjoying the glut of content and new books from all sorts of creators. I feel like everyday I’m getting two or three updates from super cool projects and canpaigns.

Unfortunately this update isn’t as good of  news: The past few weeks have had a number of personal issues come up, culminating with my son having to go to the emergency room for a days’ worth of observation due to metapneumovirus. 

I reached out to my editor and let her know of my delays in getting the final draft to her, and she informed me she’s also got some big life events going on her end.

So all said and done, we’re slightly adjusting the schedule for the digital Dungeoneering: Wanderers files to be fulfilled on March 29, 2022 (from the original March 25, 2022).

Still going to hit our March deadline, but needed to buy back a few days. Sincerely sorry if this affects anyone’s weekend plans, but know that the extra time is going directly to the book and ensuring its of the quality Grinning Rat Pub is comfortable to release to the public!

UPDATE #8: The One About BackerKit

Hey there,

Kickstarter sent me an email early this morning confirming the final funds being sent to my account -- which means we're almost ready to launch BackerKit and get down your shipping information! They need to double-check my surveys and make sure nothing looks off or is broken before I get it in front of you all.

The Grinning Rat Pre-Order store will also go live once BackerKit Invitations are sent, meaning that if you missed our campaign you'll still be able to get in on the action!

NOTE: All physical orders will be sent based on physical add-on availability to prevent double-shipping. For example, if you add-on The Nine Tombs of Athal-Kar, your physical shipment will be delayed until that book is printed.

• March 16-17: BackerKit Invitations Sent
• March 25: PDF Version of Dungeoneering: Wanderers sent to all reward-tier backers.

Fulfilled: Digital Version Backers

• April: Production PDFs of Dungeoneering: Wanderers, Dungeoneering, and Character Sheet Pads sent to printer. Mockups and final printing finished.
• May: Addresses locked-in and shipments packed for Physical and Complete Version backers.
• June—July: Physical and Complete Version packages shipped. The Nine Tombs of Athal-Kar Remastered begins design phase.

Fulfilled: Physical and Complete Version Backers

• August—October: The Nine Tombs of Athal-Kar Remastered design and layout finalized. Production PDF sent to printer. Mockups and final printing finished.
• November: Addresses locked-in and shipments packed for Collector’s Version backers.
• December: Collector’s Version packages shipped.
